Converly is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
Converly does not require an account. We do not ask for your email address, and we do not maintain user accounts or server-side user profiles.
Information you provide during onboarding. When you first open Converly, we ask you a series of questions to personalize your learning experience: your first name, your target language, your current level, your age range, your gender, your learning goals, your interests, how often you currently practice, your learning methods, and your self-assessed difficulties (for example, how confident you feel speaking). Your first name is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to any third party. The remaining answers are used both to personalize your lessons and, in aggregate form, to analyze how Converly is used (see section 3).
Conversation content. Converly is a conversational language-learning app. The text and voice messages you send during a lesson or a voice chat are processed in order to generate a response, provide corrections, and transcribe your speech (see section 3).
Microphone and speech recognition. With your permission, Converly accesses your microphone to enable voice conversations. Audio is used to transcribe what you say so the app can respond and correct you.
Usage data. Interactions within the app: screens viewed, lessons and scenarios opened, games played, features used, and general usage statistics.
Technical data. Device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, and a unique identifier specific to your installation of Converly (Apple's Identifier for Vendor). This identifier cannot be used to recognize you in other apps. We do not collect the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
In-app purchases. Information related to subscriptions or purchases made via the App Store, such as subscription status, trial status, and renewal dates.
